Freya’s full statement:
“I started the Young Curators Programme at the same time I started my first year of university.
As part of the programme I learnt how to curate and host an exhibition in a gallery setting which really helped me during the later years of my degree. When studying I was able to opt out of writing a dissertation and curated an exhibition in Central London. The skills I learnt from the Young Curators has helped me with this and my third-year degree show. As a result, I was able to complete my studies at the University of East London with a first-class degree.
Completing a Silver Arts Award also helped me to gain an internship in a London gallery after my degree.”
